The Bowen House
Cheryl had a piece in the Hocking Valley Photography Club’s show entitled “Different Perspectives.” The show was at the Bowen House, 196 N. Market Street, Logan, Ohio and ended October 14, 2023.
Cheryl’s work was selected by jury for the charity event, “An Evening with Art,” March 7, 2020, at the Columbus Museum of Art. She donated a custom-framed, limited edition print of Morning Catch on the Scioto River.
The Lancaster Festival Art Walk
Cheryl was selected by jury as one of the artists to exhibit in the prestigious Lancaster Festival Art Walk in 2019. Her selections for the show represented her broad interests in a variety of subject matter. In addition to photographs, she also included several pieces from her experimental work in digital collage. The photograph above, The Blue Hour at Kessler Swamp State Nature Preserve, was featured in the Art Walk program. Cheryl’s work was displayed in the Unified Bank in downtown Lancaster for the duration of the Festival. The Art Walk is a yearly event sponsored by Destination Downtown Lancaster.

The Ohio State Fair Fine Arts Exhibition
Cheryl’s work was included in the Ohio State Fair Fine Arts Exhibition in 2018 and 2019. In 2018, the jury selected the photo above, Morning Catch on the Scioto River. In 2019, they chose two panoramas, Ash Cave Summer View and Foggy Sunrise at Kessler Swamp State Nature Preserve.

Women of Appalachia Project
Cheryl’s photograph Foggy Sunrise at Kessler Swamp State Nature Preserve was selected for the 2018 - 2019 exhibition sponsored by the Women of Appalachia Project. The exhibit traveled from the Monongahela Arts Center in Morgantown, West Virginia, to the Dingus Technology Center Art Gallery in Ironton, Ohio, and finally to the Multicultural Center Art Gallery at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.

sparkspace
From December 2016 - May 2017, Cheryl’s work appeared on the gallery walls of a unique business called sparkspace. This one-of-a-kind organization rents meeting spaces with a playful vibe. The company provides groups with a creative atmosphere that may include whimsical props such as Mr. Potato Head or a rack of silly hats.
Cheryl created specially designed pieces to accompany the themed rooms of sparkspace. The abstract piece above entitled Momentum represents the movement of creative thought inspired by the surroundings in the Thinktank. The Gumby and Pokey photographs Cheryl took on the Scioto Mile are in keeping with the moods of the Retro Room and The Loft. (Gumby and Pokey on the bridge overlooking the Scioto Mile is a composite of two photos.) Sparkspace also displayed several of her nature photos.

Women at Work
Cheryl was a participant in the Women at Work Art Show at the historic Bowen House in Logan, Ohio. Her photography was part of an eclectic mix of artistic genres by local artists.

As a past member of the PreservArt Ohio group, Cheryl participated in an exhibit entitled, “Walk a New Path.” The PreservArt group promotes the appreciation and preservation of nature through their photography.

Cheryl’s photography has been displayed several times on the Hide-A-Way Hills gallery wall in The Lodge, and she has participated in the Hide-A-Way Hills Art Show and the Garden Arts and Crafts Fest. Her work was featured on the 2017 Hide-A-Way Hills Members Directory.
